The yearly Kiwiko Partner Meeting took place from April 16 to 17, 2024, in the lovely city of Weimar. We at SecTepe were glad to be there. The Leonardo Hotel Weimar was the perfect venue. The event was full of good talks, useful workshops and productive networking.

Day 1: Arrival and Networking

Guests arrived at their own pace and got a warm welcome. The get-together dinner was a great chance to see familiar faces again and to make new contacts in a relaxed mood. In the afternoon, the "kiwiko eG Network Culture Workshop" took a close look at digital transformation. It also covered the specific challenges IT system houses face.

Day 2: Talks and Discussions

The second day began with a welcome coffee. Then came a series of top-class talks. Two things stood out:

  • the keynote by Nora Verleger of IONOS
  • the sessions on topics such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity

Sandra Balz led a panel discussion on the future of cybersecurity. It looked ahead at the challenges and new ideas to come.

The networking event in the afternoon left plenty of time to share ideas and take talks further. All guests enjoyed it. The day ended with a shared dinner at the restaurant "Schmidtis Lava." It offered good food and a cultural finale.

Conclusion

The Kiwiko Partner Meeting 2024 was a great success. It was a place for professional exchange, for personal growth and for building a network. We at SecTepe are thankful for the many inspiring meetings and open talks at the event. The warm, friendly mood made it easy to connect. It also made it easy to learn from the knowledge and experience of the other guests.

What we take home most is the close exchange with IT system houses and partners. They deal with the same topics as we do:

  • AI in daily security work
  • putting NIS 2 into practice
  • coping with the ongoing skills shortage

We look forward to picking up the talks again next year. We also look forward to the concrete projects we got started in Weimar.
