Managed Backups: Your Digital Lifeline
We back up your company data. It runs fully on its own and works reliably. We check the backups every day. In an emergency, we restore your data very fast. Before the transfer, we encrypt your data with AES-256. That keeps it protected on the way.
Request Backup SolutionThe Four Pillars of Our Backup Service
SecTepe takes full charge of your backups, from the first backup to the restore.
Fully Automated Backups
We back up your data on a fixed schedule. Nobody has to do anything by hand. The backups run on time and do not get in the way of your business.
Daily Success Monitoring
Every day, we check that all backups have worked. If there is an error, our tech team steps in at once.
Top-Grade Encryption
We encrypt your data with AES-256 before the transfer. Your data only leaves your site in encrypted form.
Disaster Recovery
If everything fails, we bring your servers and data back fast. This includes your Microsoft 365 data.
What Is Managed Backup?
With managed backup, also called backup as a service, you hand your whole data backup to a specialist. Your IT team no longer has to set up and check the backups. It also does not have to plan how to restore data in a crisis. SecTepe runs all of this as an ongoing service. That covers the plan, the daily checks and the restore, which means putting your data back.
The difference to plain backup software is who is responsible. Software only backs up what someone has set up. Whether the backup is complete often shows only in an emergency. By then it is too late. With managed backup, we check every day that the backup worked. If there is an error, we step in at once. And we test on a regular basis that your data can be restored.
Many small and mid-sized companies have no team of their own for backups. For them, this is the best protection against data loss. Data can be lost through ransomware, which locks files and demands payment. A hard drive can fail, or someone deletes something by mistake. ISO 27001, NIS2 and GDPR also require that your data stays available and can be restored. With managed backup, you can prove this.
How Your Managed Backup Works
1. Inventory
We list your servers, applications, databases and Microsoft 365 accounts. Then we agree with you which data must be back how fast.
2. Backup Plan Based on 3-2-1
Three copies, two different storage types, one copy off-site. Everything is encrypted with AES-256 before it leaves your network.
3. Daily Monitoring
We check every backup. If one fails, we fix the cause before a gap appears.
4. Restore Tests & Disaster Recovery
We test on a regular basis that your data can be restored. So you know your backups work. In an emergency, we bring your servers and data back as fast as possible.
Common questions about managed backup
- What is managed backup?
- With managed backup, also called backup as a service, you hand the whole data backup over to a specialist. SecTepe sets up the backup, checks it every day and restores your data in an emergency. Your IT team does not have to handle any of this itself.
- How does it differ from backup software?
- Software only backs up what someone has set up. Whether the backup is complete often only shows in an emergency. With managed backup, SecTepe takes responsibility: we check every backup and fix errors before a gap appears.
- What does the 3-2-1 rule mean?
- Three copies of your data on two different types of storage, one of them off-site. This way, your data survives even the failure of one storage system or a fire in the building.
- How is my data protected?
- We encrypt your data with AES-256 before it leaves your network. So it stays protected in transit and where it is stored.
- Do you also back up Microsoft 365?
- Yes. During the initial assessment, we also record your Microsoft 365 accounts and include them in backup and recovery.
- How often do you check that restores work?
- We check every day whether all backups succeeded. On top of that, we regularly test whether your data can really be restored. Only a successful restore test shows that a backup will help in an emergency.
